Process Simulator Module (PSM)
The process simulator Module (PSM1) provides an authentic simulation of typical process plant dynamics which, in conjunction with a controller such as VICTORII, can be used to teach the fundamentals of process control.
Students can use the PSM1 and VICTORII combination to perform controller tuning and evaluate the resulting performance. The PSM1 incorporates two realistic transport delays together with an exponential lag and variable load disturbance. All process parameters are adjustable allowing the user to freely examine the effect of process changes on the controller’s performance. The system is designed to work within a 10v signal range.
Two or more PSM1 can be easily interconnected to form complex systems that enable feed forward, cascade and multi-variable control to be studied. The PSM1 simulates the processes in plant dynamics, it is ideal for teaching fundamental control and it is simple to use in conjunction with VICTORII.
